Our Story
The BOSS Group was founded in 1988 by two principals of a graphic design and production house. They understood the need for specialized temporary support staff for their design business and envisioned other companies could benefit from having access to that talent as well. They used their own expertise in the field to evaluate talent, and began to focus on providing top shelf production, graphics and new media staff to the industry. Thus, BOSS (Back Office Support Services) was founded.
The climate within the workplace has evolved since then, and the use of contingent labor has become increasingly popular. At the same time, many creative professionals have chosen the flexibility and variety of a freelance workstyle, with companies such as The BOSS Group providing the support needed to make freelancing a viable career choice.
Just as BOSS was a thought leader in the 80s, we continue to innovate to meet changing marketplace needs. Still we remain focused on our original mission of providing human capital solutions for creative, marketing and communications professionals— as an advocate for creative talent and as a support partner for employers.
