Job ID: 24062 | | Editorial Professionals sought for freelance opportunities with various clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to smaller agencies in the Baltimore metro area. Candidates must be available to work onsite during normal business hours and will enjoy competitive hourly rates depending upon experience and the nature of the work. We are presently recruiting candidates with the following skill sets:
WRITERS / EDITORS to create complex, compelling copy that is clear, concise, and grammatically correct. Ideal candidates will have a creative flair to produce documents with emphasis on consistency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- At least two to three (2-3) years experience in writing and/or editing
- Candidate must be able to write with impeccable grammar
- Strong knowledge of proofreading, syntax, spelling and formatting functions
- Ability to collaborate with and draw information from others
WEB CONTENT SPECIALISTS who are capable of writing, maintaining, editing and posting content online as well as recommending and implementing site improvements.
Requirements:
- At least two to three (2-3) years of experience writing content specifically for the web, with samples to match!
- Strong understanding of best practices for the Web including SEO and Information Architecture
- Knowledge of content management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
PROOFREADERS who have experience reviewing work and identifying typographical errors and deviations. These individuals will make certain that final materials are clear, concise, and grammatically correct.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of proofreading experience
- Strong knowledge of proofreading, syntax, spelling and formatting functions
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite a major plus
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related area
